20th Annual Asian American Heritage Festival
May 19, 2013 - 10:00AM to 5:00PM

May is Asian-Pacific Heritage month, so come and join the Asian American Federation of California in celebrating our Twentieth Annual Asian American Heritage Festival at the City Hall Plaza in Hayward. This year's event will be hosted by Da Lin, Dianna Chung, and Herman Chan

Hosts

Da Lin (Co-Host)

Da Lin is an award-winning journalist at CBS 5 Eyewitness News. He joined CBS 5 in 2012, but has been reporting the news in the Bay Area since 2007. Da grew up in Oakland, and before his return to the Bay Area, he spent five years covering the news at three other television stations in Texas, Southern and Central California. He also spent five years reporting at KRON 4. Da has traveled and lived all over the world, from China to England, but he says his heart belongs in the Bay Area. He says there’s simply no place like it. Da’s coverage of major stories has earned him 10 awards from the Bay Area Press Photographers’ Association and the Northern California Radio and Television News Directors’ Association. He is very familiar with Hayward.

Dianna Chung (Co-Host)

Dianna was born and raised in China and is a graduate of Cal. Since she was able to walk, she has loved playing dress up and performing. Now in the real world, she puts her love for the stage into practice. For the past 7 years, Dianna has been traveling the world, training executives (plus lawyers and engineers!) at multinational companies, helping them grow into the best presenters they can be. When she is not working as a communications consultant in cities like Singapore, Shanghai, Bangalore or Moscow, she is living her dream as a performer, dancing and acting on stage, in films, television and print commercials. She is honored to co-emcee for the 20th Asian American Heritage Festival and loves visiting her friends in Hayward often.
